Weekend Warriors

Calling all Weekend Warriors of the past and future!!! New round starting as soon as we have enough band members. Gig date to be announced.

Tones was the first shop in the South East to offer Weekend Warriors and have had more 'WW Camps' than any other shop! We love live music and will do anything to help others love it too.

This is a scheme to get us "Oldies" (30 and over) back into music by forming groups from like minded individuals, giving them five rehearsals in a professional rehearsal / recording studio, equipment needed for the rehearsals can be loaned, and a mentor will be provided to give advice (or just to run around changing strings!). And at the end of the rehearsals......A GIG! Where you get to perform songs with your new band at The Square, Harlow with a recording available to keep for posterity.

THE FIRST GIG WAS IN APRIL 2006 AT THE SQUARE, HARLOW WHEN ALL THE WARRIORS GOT OVER SOME INITIAL NERVES & 'ROCKED OUT' IN FRONT OF A SELL OUT CROWD OF FRIENDS, FAMILY AND REGULAR 'SQUARE' VISITORS.

THE SECOND GIG WAS IN OCT 2006 AND WHEN MORE BEDROOM MUSO'S BECAME 'ON STAGE' MUSOS'S - ROCKIN' OUT ENSUED! IF YOU WANT TO READ WHAT AN UNDERCOVER REPORTER HAD TO SAY ABOUT OUR WEEKEND WARRIORS CLICK HERE

THE THIRD WAS LATE 07 AND WAS HELD AT MOOT HALL, A 200 CAPACITY VENUE WHICH SOLD OUT DAYS BEFORE THE ACTUAL SHOW. AND SINCE THEN "FASE 4" HAVE GONE ON TO SUPPORT CHAS & DAVE AND THE ANIMALS.

THE 4TH GIG WAS IN 31st MAY 09. FOUR BANDS PLAYED TO A GREAT CROWD AT HARLOWS GREAT MUSIC VENUE THE SQUARE!

EVERYONE ENJOYED THESE GREAT NIGHTS OUT AND MANY ARE TALKING ABOUT TAKING THINGS FURTHER!
